Working with young people
Karen Boswall specialises in collaborative film-making, often giving a creative voice to the people for whom or about whom she is making the film.
She often includes a training element within the productions and enjoys working with young film makers to give them a voice while ensuring professional production valuses are maintained.
She is a qualified teacher and works with young people in formal and informal educational environments as a trainer and workshop director of video production at a variety of different levels. Her video workshops range from fun summer workshops for 9-15 yr olds to bespoke courses at FE Colleges and Universities. She specialises in facilitating video production training for young people, under-graduate and young researchers, designing production project based skill development and professional mentoring programmes in schools, colleges universities and cultural institutions.
